Scite

What it does

Scite classifies citations — supporting, contrasting, mentioning — so a paper's actual standing is visible. Verifying a supplier's material claim against the literature gets honest fast.

The Smart Citation database covers hundreds of millions of papers. Free trial; subscription for regulars.

Standout features

• Supporting vs contrasting citation labels
• Paper-level and claim-level checks
• Browser extension for paywalls-free reading
• Reference checks for manuscripts
