Fastbrowse

What it does

Fastbrowse is an open-source browser agent that automates tasks in Chrome. It lists page elements instead of using screenshots, which reduces costs and improves speed. It uses System One models, currently Jev, to keep costs low, with fallback to cheaper LLMs like Gemini Flash Lite or Deepseek v4.1.

The founder reports that in a 46-task suite, Fastbrowse cost $0.030 per run compared to $0.318 for Browser Use's hosted agent, and passed 137 of 138 runs. Setup requires uv, Chrome, and TypeScript.
